Corolla Ocean Rescue is very proud to offer the very first Junior Lifeguard program on the Outer Banks!
The program runs Monday–Thursday from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. There will be two sessions offered for the 2010 summer season:
July 12th–15th & August 2nd–5th
OUR MISSION
To promote ocean safety through education within a fun and safe aquatic environment. Through excercises in ocean safety and physical fitness we develop confidence, encourage an active lifestyle and build a respect for others and the coastal environment.

•Recognition of rip currents
•Self rescue & avoiding danger
•First aid & CPR
•Physical fitness & nutrition
•Sportsmanship & teamwork
•Surfing instruction
•Beach volleyball
•A visit to the local wildlife center to learn about marine creatures and coastal conservation
OUR INSTRUCTORS
Our instructors are local Corolla lifeguards who have been selected based on their experience, skills, and passion for working with young people. Many have educational degrees and coaching backgrounds. All are trained First Responsers or EMTs and certified USLA Open Water Rescuers.
DIRECTIONS
The program is located on the beach directly across from the Currituck Lighthouse in Corolla, NC. Park in the public access parking lot and walk over the ramp. You will see our tent! For more specific directions, please call 252.619.2285.

REGISTRATION & TUITION
Tuition is $160 per session. Full payment is due by the start of the session. Tuition includes:
•Instruction by Ocean Rescue professionals
•CPR instruction & book
•a pocket mask
•a rashguard
•provided lunch daily
•Membership to the USLA
•Certificate of completion
