THINK YOU GOT WHAT IT TAKES? COME WORK FOR US!

Corolla Ocean Rescue emphasizes accident prevention by educating the public about the beach, it’s environment and potential hazards. Corolla Ocean Rescue personnel continually focuses on promoting positive public relations and public safety.

Our beach season runs from Memorial Day weekend to Labor Day weekend. Lifeguards are on the beach by 9:30 a.m. every morning and stay until 5:30 p.m. If conditions warrent, hours may be extended when low tide falls between 5:30 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. (when rip currents are most dangerous). The Corolla Ocean Rescue squad physically trains as a crew three mornings a week, and are highly encouraged to stay in the best possible shape by dedicating some time outside of work to enhance their athletic abilities. All Corolla Ocean Rescue personnel are certified First Responders and many are EMT certified. Each member also undergoes a two-week intensive, USLA-approved training regimen before the season begins. Corolla Ocean Rescue proudly offers its employees with affordable housing during the season.
